Sophie Gilbert
Senior Occupational Therapist
Sophie is an Occupational Therapist with over 12 years of experience working with children and their families. She has worked in several private practices offering both clinic-based as well as mobile therapy around East and South Sydney as well as the Southern Highlands. Sophie has had the pleasure of working with children aged 3 to 17 years presenting with a range of strengths, support needs and diagnoses including Autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, sensory processing difficulties, Down syndrome, Global Developmental Delay and intellectual delays. Sophie is passionate about empowering children to build their skills and confidence to participate in everyday activities and strives to make sessions fun. Sophie has a special interest in early intervention and working with preschool and early primary school-aged children.
Sophie’s broad range of experience across her career and also in her personal life as a mum with lived experience having neurodivergent children, helps her bring a very calm and holistic approach to therapy and working with young people.
When not working, Sophie enjoys cooking, gardening and being creative.
